Description: The university was established in 1994 on the basis of an agreement between the governments of the Republic of Poland and Japan. It is a university with a technical profile and its educational offerings emphasize the development of new technologies and their application in various areas. The university is authorized to educate in the fields of computer science, information management, graphic design and multimedia art, graphic design, interior design and cultural studies. In the first three of these, studies are conducted in English. Regardless of the educational programs and specializations implemented, students also learn about Japanese culture, language and customs. One of the university's majors is Culture of Japan. In addition, it offers students postgraduate studies, an MBA for the IT industry, preparatory courses and online courses. The academy already has more than 8,000 students, nearly 30 percent of whom are women. A large number of foreigners study at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology, currently accounting for 24 percent of all students. More than 1 thousand students left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, nearly 2.9 thousand male and female students began their studies, including nearly 900 foreigners. The university employs nearly 200 full-time academic staff, 42 percent of whom are women
