WSB Merito (formerly: Higher Schools of Banking) has been in existence since 1994. The university is made up of four faculties: the Faculty of Finance and Banking in Poznań, the Branch Faculty in Chorzów, the Faculty of Economics in Szczecin, and the Faculty of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Warsaw.

The university offers bachelor's and master's degrees, postgraduate studies, MBAs and Executive MBAs, as well as training and courses.

As a group of universities operating within the Scientific Federation, WSB-DSW Merito has academic qualifications in eight scientific disciplines.

The university already has nearly 34,000 students, 53.3 percent of whom are women, and more than 5 percent are foreigners.   

Almost 5,900 students left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, nearly 12.6 thousand male and female students began their studies, including 751 foreigners. 

The university employs nearly 300 full-time academic staff, 46.4 percent of whom are women.
