Academy of Social and Media Culture in Torun - Academy of Applied Sciences is a non-public university. It was established in 2001.The founder of the academy is Father Tadeusz Rydzyk CSsR, Director of Radio Maryja and founder of Trwam Television.

The academy offers studies in the fields of journalism and social communication, political science, media informatics, nursing and law.

The academy has 324 students, 56 percent of whom are women, and 3.4 percent are foreigners.   

84 students left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 168 male and female students began their studies.

The academy employs 44 full-time academic staff, 38.6 percent of whom are women.
