Description: The history of the Wojciech Korfanty Upper Silesian Academy in Katowice began in 1991, when the Upper Silesian Private College of Economics (GPCE) was established by its future Founder ECONOMICUS UHP. Currently, the Upper Silesian Academy, within the framework of five faculties, conducts, both full-time and part-time, first- and second-cycle studies and single master's degree programs in a total of thirteen fields of study. The university also conducts other forms of education, such as postgraduate studies and various types of courses and training. The number of postgraduate studies, courses and training offered by the university is steadily growing. The university currently has more than 150 types of them in its teaching offer. There are currently more than 3,000 students at the university, 74 percent of whom are women, and 5.7 percent are foreigners. 809 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 931 male and female students began their studies, including 82 foreigners. The university employs 101 academic teachers, 64.4 percent of whom are women.
