The Higher School of Tourism and Ecology in Sucha Beskidzka, a non-public higher education institution based in the Sucha castle known as the Little Wawel, was established in 2001.

The university offers education at the level of higher studies of the first and second degree in the full-time and part-time system, MBA studies, specialized postgraduate studies, specialized education and certified courses and training. It provides studies at three faculties: Tourism and Recreation, Computer Science and Social Sciences.

Lectures are held in Polish and English.

There are currently 357 students at the university, of whom 46.2 percent are women and 36.1 percent are foreigners.

48 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 168 male and female students began their studies, including 47 foreigners. 

The university employs 22 academic teachers, 31.8 percent of whom are women.
