Jagiellonian University is a non-public university existing since 2003. In the initial period of its operation, it functioned under the name of Torun University. Then, from 2013 to 2022 as Jagiellonian College - Torun University. It adopted its current name in 2022.

All the studies offered by the Jagiellonian University are of a practical nature, so they are oriented to prepare students for the requirements of the labor market.

AJ's educational offer also includes a wide range of postgraduate studies and MBA programs.

The university currently has more than 744 students, 56 percent of whom are women, and 57 percent are foreigners.

243 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 251 male and female students began their studies, including 95 foreigners.

The university employs 32 full-time academic staff, more than 34 percent of whom are women.
