The Alcide De Gasperi College of Euroregional Economy was established in 2002. Since 2004, the university has had a patron, the prominent Italian and European statesman Alcide De Gasperi, one of the founders of a united Europe. 

The university is authorized to conduct studies of an all-academic or practical profile: at the level of first-degree studies in the following majors: administration; at the level of first- and second-degree studies in the following majors: pedagogy, management and internal security; at the level of uniform master's studies in the following majors: law, preschool and early childhood pedagogy and psychology.

Classes at the university are conducted in Polish and in English for students from Poland, as well as those from other countries, mainly Asia.

There are currently 1,067 students at the university, 62.4 percent of whom are women, and 18.7 percent are foreigners.

461 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 347 male and female students began their studies, including 60 foreigners. 

The university employs 30 academic teachers, 56.7 percent of whom are women.
