WSB Merito University (formerly the Higher School of Banking in Gdansk) has existed since 1998. The university is based in Gdansk and Gdynia and is made up of five faculties: Faculty of Business, Faculty of Law and Administration, Faculty of Information Technology and New Technologies, Faculty of Social-Humanities and Faculty of Health.

It offers bachelor's and master's degrees, single master's degrees, postgraduate studies, MBAs and Executive MBAs. Training and courses are also available.

The university currently has more than 17,600 students, 59 percent of whom are women, and 5.6 percent are foreigners.

3287 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 5647 male and female students began their studies, including 309 foreigners. 

The university employs 193 academic teachers, 45.1 percent of whom are women.
