Description: The Medical University of Lublin is a public medical university that has been in operation since 1950. It fulfills scientific and research tasks. It educates students and doctoral students for work in medical professions. The university has a modern research and didactic base, which it develops systematically. It provides a comfortable environment conducive to scientific research, project implementation, cooperation and communication, and learning. The University offers first- and second-degree medical studies, English-language studies, postgraduate studies and a Doctoral School. The University's main task is to prepare students to work as doctors, paramedics, dentists, nurses, midwives, pharmacists or nutritionists, among others. Scientific activities and teaching processes of the University are carried out on the basis of 4 clinical units, for which the University is the forming entity. Currently, the University has nearly 7,000 students, 73.4 percent of whom are women, and 13.1 percent are foreigners. More than 1.5 thousand graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, more than 1.7 thousand male and female students began their studies, including 77 foreigners. The university employs 1183 full-time academic staff, more than 63 percent of whom are women.
