Description: The State Higher Vocational School in Kalisz was established on July 15, 1999. In 2020, it was the only state vocational university in Poland that had the right to confer doctoral degrees in two disciplines, so the university applied to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to become an academy. And in 2023, by law, Kaliska Academy was transformed into the University of Kaliska. Kaliska Academy is a university that educates students in full-time and part-time modes, as well as in postgraduate mode, including the Executive Master of Business Administration. Studies are conducted at four faculties: health sciences, social sciences, polytechnic faculty and medical-social-technical faculty in Września. The university offers education in 21 majors in first-level studies, 12 majors in second-level studies and 11 postgraduate studies. It is authorized to award doctoral degrees in medical, health, social, security, management and quality sciences. The university currently has a silent 2,900 students, 57 percent of whom are women, and 2.8 percent are foreigners. 930 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 1,334 male and female students began their studies, including 44 foreigners. The university employs 247 full-time academic staff, more than 44 percent of whom are women.
