Description: State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl - a public vocational university established in 2001 in Przemyśl. In its original intention it was established as a humanities university, referring to the oldest academic traditions of Przemyśl. Currently, within the walls of the Przemyśl State Academy of Applied Sciences, studies are conducted in the following majors: humanities (English philology, history), social sciences (cross-border security, international relations, security and cross-border relations - 2nd degree studies), medical sciences (nursing), arts (interior design, graphic design - 1st and 2nd degree studies) and technical sciences (food safety and production, IT in business, transport and logistics engineering, mechatronics and intelligent technologies - 2nd degree studies). Complementing the educational offer are artistic majors run by the Institute of Design Arts. The university currently has more than 900 students, nearly 59 percent of whom are women, and 18.3 percent are foreigners. 248 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 480 male and female students began their studies, including 106 foreigners. The university employs 80 academic teachers, 51.3 percent of whom are women.
