Academy of Applied Sciences in New Targ - was established in 2001 at the request of the provincial government as the Podhale State University of Applied Sciences in New Targ. More than 90 percent of the young people studying at ANS come from the Podhale, Spisz and Orava regions.

The university currently has more than 1.5 thousand students, 70 percent of whom are women, and 0.9 percent are foreigners.

526 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 712 male and female students began their studies, including 10 foreigners.

The university employs 114 academic teachers, 61.4 percent of whom are women.
