Description: The West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin - a public academic university established on January 1, 2009 in Szczecin from the merger of the Agricultural Academy in Szczecin and the Szczecin University of Technology. The primary purpose of the university is education and research in technical, agricultural, economic, biological, chemical and mathematical sciences. The university currently has nearly 5,800 students, 36.8 percent of whom are women, and 5.7 percent are foreigners. Nearly 1,200 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, more than 2,000 male and female students began their studies, including 126 foreigners. The university employs 699 full-time academic staff, 45 percent of whom are women.
