Description: The Fire Academy in Warsaw is a public university of state services, educating and training firefighters of the State Fire Service, officers of other services and guards, and civilians in the field of public safety and civil protection. The academy is also an organizational unit of the State Fire Service. The academy has two fields of study: security engineering (field of engineering sciences, discipline: environmental engineering, mining and energy) and homeland security (field of social sciences, discipline: security sciences). The university currently has 1,800 students, of whom 12.7 percent are women and 0.2 percent are foreigners. 491 graduates left the university building last year. In the 2023/2024 academic year, 599 male and female students began their studies, including 2 foreigners. The university employs 130 full-time academic staff, almost 40 percent of whom are women.
